Do you ever have days where you are just plain depressed? For me, today is one of them. I don’t even know why, but today I’m feeling down. Every human has days like this. They come and go, and we always manage to find a way through them.
One of the ways that women will use to get through their “down days” is retail therapy. Just that phrase makes me smile. I’m not really a big shopper, but that phrase just makes me smile for some reason. Probably because I picture a woman with forty-two bags slung over her arm as she saunters out of the mall. To each their own! I do enjoy some shopping occasionally, but it’s usually not much. But there is one thing that I will splurge for regularly. Jewelry. I love jewelry.
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am anything but a girly girl, but I do love my jewelry. I don’t like to wear a lot all at once or big gaudy stuff, but give me a cute necklace and bracelet with a pair of small dangly earrings and my day is complete. I think that’s why I fell in love with Plunder Design.
I first heard about this company from a friend of mine. She is the wife of a missionary and was selling this jewelry as a way to help out with their finances. She had me hooked immediately. It is a direct selling company, and I got signed up right away. I couldn’t get going fast enough. I signed up and started selling this jewelry back in October. I’m not anywhere near the top of the food chain in the company, but it has been so much fun these last few months. I have learned so much about myself, and I’ve learned to get out of my comfort zone. That in itself is a huge deal for me! My husband has been my biggest supporter and has also noticed a huge change in me.
Anyway, most women will go to the mall for their retail therapy. I go to my website and find a new piece of jewelry. I love getting the pieces in the mail and seeing them in person the first time. It is so much fun to open the cute boxes and put the new piece on. My husband probably thinks I’m more than a little crazy, but I love it. I also like the fact that, even though I’m buying the piece for myself, I can use it for my business. I can use it as a showpiece for a home party or at a vendor event. Seeing pieces in person really helps people decide what they want to purchase. It gives them ideas of how big and/or how heavy the pieces are. It helps them to picture the pieces with their clothing. Or it could just make the person fall in love with a certain piece. There is one necklace that made me fall in love with this company. It is the reason I signed up to sell this jewelry. I probably wouldn’t have fallen quite as hard if she wouldn’t have had that piece at the first party I attended.
I have also discovered a problem since I started selling this jewelry. My jewelry box is not big enough for all of it! I, personally, think this is an amazing problem to have! This thing is wonderful. I use the bottom two rungs to hold most of my bracelets and the top rung to hold some of my shorter, more delicate necklaces.
The other piece I ordered was a jewelry hanger. This is my favorite thing. I love, love, love this thing. I would recommend this piece to anyone who wants to be able to hang all their necklaces up and be able to see them. It was smaller than I thought it would be (which is probably good-I needed it to fit a rather small space), but has way more storage than I thought it would have.

These two pieces together hold most of my jewelry, and I couldn’t be happier with how they work and how they look. But, I may have another issue starting soon. Our new catalog is released on Monday morning! I am so crazy excited about it. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to sleep for the next two nights! There are so many cute new pieces coming out! I love so many of them already and I’ve only seen a sneak peak in my Facebook groups. I’m going to go broke with all these new pieces! Good thing I have some parties planned for the next few months. I’m going to need those to offset some of the money I’m going to spend! I have a feeling I may need to order a second set of these… I’m sure my husband will love that!
